For the third year in a row BOI Thailand, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, have organised a Thai Belgian Business Forum at the Press Club Brussels Europe on the occasion of the visit of Deputy Secretary General Duangjai Asawachintachit to the Benelux.
The seminar was titled: “Think ASEAN – Go for Thailand” and focused on the role of Thailand as a hub for the ASEAN region. The program consisted of three keynote speakers: Deputy Secretary General Duangjai Asawachintachit on the economic developments in Thailand and the new investment promotion policies of BOI, Commercial Minister Duangarthit Nidi-U-Tai on the developments with ASEAN and AEC and Mr Bruno van der Wielen, Managing Director of Vinythai Ltd who gave a testimonial of their operations in Thailand.
Minister Chulamanee Chartsuwan of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels gave a short welcome to the many attendees and after the three speakers there was a Q&A. The TBBF was ended by a networking cocktail where the participants could exchange their impressions and enjoy Thai food.
The event was very well attended with a mix from companies, international organisations, government and press. From the +60 registrations in total 45 attendees were present at the event plus a Thai participation from BOI and the Royal Thai Embassy of another 12 persons.
